This week, I watched a Japanese vlog filmed in Nara Park, located in the city of Nara, near Kyoto.
Nara Park is a very popular public park in Japan where deer freely walk among people. In the video, the vlogger shows many tourists taking photos, laughing, and feeding the deer with special crackers sold there. When people have food, several deer quickly gather around them, which was surprising to see.
Some people seem amused, while others look a bit scared when the deer get too close. Even without understanding everything, I recognized the expression かわいすぎる, which means too cute.
In Nara, the deer are considered sacred and are protected. I found it fascinating to see deer walking so close to humans in such a busy and touristic place.
